At the Anthony Udokwu Foundation Yahweh, we believe that every grant must be applied responsibly, fairly, and only when support is critical. To achieve this, we have a transparent application, verification, and oversight system that guides all our programmes.
1. Application
Opportunities are advertised on our official Facebook page and/or website when resources are available.
Eligible applicants (orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, or disadvantaged individuals) are invited to apply by completing an application process.
2. Shortlisting
Applications are reviewed against published criteria.
Shortlisting may follow a first-come, first-served basis when demand is high, provided minimum eligibility is met.
Trustees ensure fairness and transparency in the shortlisting stage.
3. Interviews
Virtual interviews are conducted via WhatsApp live video calls for scholarships.
For empowerment programmes (Data Reselling, Poultry), interviews are conducted by trustees to assess readiness and ability to participate.
4. Identity & Eligibility Verification
Scholarship Verification:
Applicants must provide a reference from their institution, sent by the Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, Lecturer, or Professor via their official institutional email.
The CEO personally verifies references by calling senior institutional officials (such as the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor).
This confirms the applicant’s status as a genuine student, their course, year of study, tuition requirements, and in cases of disability, that the institution has them recorded in their medical records.
Empowerment Programmes (Poultry & Data Reselling):
Applicants must provide a recommendation letter, hand-signed, dated, and stamped by one of the following:
A priest or Christian religious leader
An Islamic leader (Imam)
A traditional ruler or village/community head
A Local Government Chairman
Trustees review and approve documents before support is provided.
5. Disbursement & Oversight
Grants or resources are only released after trustees confirm all verification steps are complete.
Trustees in Nigeria supervise every stage of disbursement, ensuring funds are applied directly and solely for charitable purposes.
The CEO oversees financial management and personally monitors complex cases.
