Anthony Udokwu's Foundation - Yahweh

Empowering Lives Through Compassion

Welcome to the Anthony Udokwu Foundation Yahweh, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable individuals and families in Nigeria. Through education, essential healthcare, welfare support, and safe accommodation, we strive to ensure that no one is left behind. All support is carefully assessed and provided only when critical.

Asthma Support (Inhalers Programme)

A mission close to our hearts.
Many families in Nigeria face the painful reality of choosing between essentials and life-saving asthma medication. Our founder, Anthony Ugochukwu Udokwu, lived this struggle as a child and student. His experience is a core reason this foundation exists: so others don’t have to go without essential inhalers.

What we provide

We only provide essential inhalers to people diagnosed with asthma.

We do not pay general medical bills or fund wider healthcare costs.

Support is needs-based and provided only when critical, following an assessment.

Who we help

Children, students, orphans, widows, and persons living with disabilities.

Individuals and families who cannot afford essential inhalers or face extenuating hardship.

Beneficiaries are identified through local referrals and trustee assessment.

How we identify need (assessment)

Support is released only after:

Referral/Request via parish priests, church leaders, Catholic/mission hospitals, motherless homes, community partners, or directly to our trustees in Nigeria.

Evidence of diagnosis (e.g., clinic note/prescription) and a brief hardship check.

Priority scoring (children, students in education, people with disabilities, and those in acute crisis).

Trustee sign-off confirming the support is critical and appropriate.

How we deliver (our process)

The founder releases funds to trustees in Nigeria for approved cases/events.

Trustees purchase inhalers from registered pharmacies/health facilities.

Distribution happens on-site (e.g., partner hospitals, motherless homes, parish centres) or via controlled collection by/for named recipients.

Trustees keep a simple audit trail (date, location, quantity, recipient initials/guardian, referral source).

When appropriate, trustees follow up to check if further critical support is needed (not guaranteed; subject to assessment and resources).

We work alongside priests and church leaders and collaborate with Catholic/mission hospitals and motherless homes so that inhalers reach the most vulnerable safely and quickly.

Safeguarding, privacy & dignity

We collect only the minimum personal data needed to assess and deliver support.

Beneficiary information is kept confidential and shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.

Photos are used only with informed consent (guardian consent for minors). If consent isn’t provided, no identifying images are published.

Trustees are responsible for protecting confidential information at all times.

Governance & oversight

All activities are personally funded by the founder; we do not raise money from the public.

Grants are released case-by-case to trustees after needs assessment confirms support is critical.

Trustees provide receipts and short reports for reconciliation; records are maintained for audit and learning.

We monitor value for money, stock handling, and misuse risk (e.g., named recipients, limited quantities, reputable suppliers).

Important limits

Provision is subject to availability and budget.

Our programme does not replace medical advice or emergency care. Please seek clinical guidance for diagnosis and ongoing treatment.
